| Vault | The contract that holds your assets and enforces the waiting room |
| Owner | The key that can announce |
| Guardian | The party that can only refuse |
| Announcement (op) | A request stored in the vault: a send, a call, or a setting change |
| Waiting room | The time between announcing and running |
| Ripe | Old enough to run: now >= readyAt |
| Grace window | The 14 days during which a ripe announcement can still run |
| Whistle | A guardian refusal: a veto, or a panic |
| Veto | Refusing one announcement |
| Panic | Refusing everything pending, by moving the epoch |
| Epoch | A counter. An announcement from an older epoch is dead. |
| Passkey | A device-bound key unlocked by Face ID, fingerprint or PIN |
| WebAuthn | The browser standard behind passkeys |
| P-256 precompile | The chain's built-in check for passkey signatures, at address 0x100 |
| rpIdHash | sha256 of the website domain a passkey belongs to |
| EIP-712 | The standard for signing structured messages. Used for veto and panic. |
| ERC-1271 | The standard for a contract to validate signatures. Lets a Safe be the guardian. |
| Relayer | Whoever submits a signed whistle and pays the gas. Anyone can be one. |
| Lookout | The web page and the terminal watcher that read announcements |
